I grew up in Toronto competing in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings. In 2015 I earned a BSc in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph. While at Guelph, I got involved in equine research and discovered my passion for this type of work. I then moved to Calgary to pursue a PhD in Veterinary Medical Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Renaud Leguillette. My research focuses on using equine water treadmills to improve fitness, while limiting the risk of future injuries. In 2017 I became involved in the Equine Foundation of Canada as a member of the Promotion Committee.
